When a pair is ready above a back slot, turning the cube costs time. You can insert it directly.
For the back right, R' U R or R' U' R replace R U R'. For the back left, L U L' or L U' L'.
Practice the 4 basic inserts in all 4 slots, slowly, before using them in a solve.
Remember: Don’t try to do everything in the back: only when the pair is already ready there.
Troubleshooting
- The pair breaks when inserting
- Check that the edge and corner are side by side right above the slot, like for R U R' in front.
- It’s slower than turning the cube
- At first, yes. Keep it for slow solves until the motion feels natural.
