The white corners

White on the bottom. Find a corner on top that has white on it. Read its two other colors, for example green and red: it goes between the green and red centers.

Turn the top (U) to put this corner right above its slot, then hold the cube so that slot is front-right.

Repeat R U R' U' until the corner is in place with white on the bottom: 1, 3 or 5 times depending on its orientation. These 4 moves are called the “sexy move”, and you’ll use them your whole cubing life.

If a white corner is already on the bottom but in the wrong place or twisted, do R U R' U' once to bring it up, then handle it normally.

Remember: Don’t watch where the other pieces go during R U R' U': the cross and the corners already done always come back into place.

The cases

• White facing right: R U R' U'. Corner above its slot (front right), white facing right: R U R' U' once.
• White facing front: R U R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U'. White facing front: R U R' U' five times.
• White facing up: R U R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U'. White facing up: R U R' U' three times.
• Corner in place but twisted: R U R' U' R U R' U'. The white corner is already on the bottom in its spot, but the white faces sideways. Hold it at front right and repeat R U R' U': 2 or 4 times depending on the direction, until the white is on the bottom. If it’s on the bottom but in the wrong spot, R U R' U' once brings it back up to the top.

Troubleshooting

My cross falls apart

Do the whole R U R' U' without stopping halfway: the cross always comes back at the end of the 4 moves.

The corner won’t go down

Check that the corner is right above its slot, between its two centers, and that this slot is front-right. Then repeat R U R' U' up to 5 times.

A white corner is on the bottom, in the wrong place

Hold it front-right and do R U R' U' once: it comes up to the top, and you handle it like the others.
