Step 6 of 6 · Intuitive F2L
Chaining without pausing
Do the 4 pairs in a row, slowly but without stopping: that’s where the time is saved.
Keyboard: Enter to continue, ← to go back. Keep your hands on the cube.

The order of the pairs doesn’t matter: always start with the one whose two pieces are already visible on top.
While you insert a pair, already look for the next one. That’s “lookahead”: at first, slow your hands down so your eyes have time.
Use the timer’s F2L scrambles (cross already done) and the metronome at a slow pace: one move per beat, never stopping.
Remember: A slow, smooth F2L always beats a fast F2L with pauses. Aim for zero stops, not speed.
Troubleshooting
- I stop between each pair to search
- Lower the metronome pace even more. The goal is to never stop, even if that means turning very slowly.
- I can’t find any pair anymore
- The pieces are hidden in slots. Take one out with R U R': there will always be a pair to form after that.
